VISUAL INSPECTION LEVEL 2

The course teaches participants to visually assess weld joints, cast and forged components, as well as surfaces. It also covers the assessment of damage mechanisms, such as various types of corrosion.

The course is intended for those working as inspectors or controllers. Practical experience in welding facilitates the learning process.

Course Duration: 1 day web-based training, 4 days on-site.

The course is delivered as blended learning. Part of the training is completed online before attending classroom sessions at the training center. The web-based portion concludes with a mandatory course exam.

For both the digital components and classroom participation, participants are required to bring their own laptop or tablet. Theoretical content is combined with practical exercises throughout the course.

The training follows the EN ISO 9712 and Nordtest guidelines for VT Level 2. It emphasizes the inspection of welds and welded structures, while also covering surface evaluation and defects in forgings and castings. One section focuses on corrosion and various forms of metal corrosion.

  • Course duration: 5 documented days

  • Required practical experience: 60 days
